Yes, yes you can. Though eberle is a really good player and giroux had 112 pts in 63 games when he was drafted... whoever didnt pick him earlier were morons

Rads is better than hemmer no doubt. But hes gone. Went back to khl apparently
- hugefemale dog77

Rads was never playing another game in the NHL again... The money he wanted wasn't going to be paid by any NHL team.

Claude Giroux here averaged 103 pts in 69 games, then the year he was drafted averaged 112 pts in 63 games in the QMJHL, yet was picked 22nd overall..... that my friends is stupidity. Especially with the leafs, who picked tlusty for some odd reason? What a joke Dumbass scouts we and the rest of the teams had

The Q is full of players that put up massive point totals and amount to nothing.

Not good enough for the NHL level, which is why points don't tell the whole story where people are drafted.

So since giroux was drafted from Q, and grigorenko is from the Q league, does this mean grigorenko has some potential after all hes gunna be a steal in the draft, very underrated.

He was never given a chance in the NHL, nor a full season. You cant say that. And thats my point on kadri, give him a full season to see what he can do then underrate the kid.

he's not underrated, scouts say his skill level is the same as and if not better than yaks.. the reason he dropped is his work ethic concerns

Corey Locke has played like 2 games in the nhl(sarcasm actually like 7) how in the HELL does that prove anything? No logic in your statement unless he is given a proven full season in the NHL, which is a joke in my opinion like kadri who should be given a chance to play a full season because he has POTENTIAL. Not some poop like connolly, bozak, lombardi, etc bozak here nothing more than a third liner which he has proven playing full seasons where clearly is not capable of being a 1st line centerman

Skating is usually the issue in these types of cases.
Great hands by themselves can and have torn up the junior level. but if you're not a great skater, you'll fail at the nhl level.

It can be worked on and overcome, but i think this might be the case with guys like kadri, toffoli etc.
Or corey locke, who doesnt even deserve a shot unless he becomes a far better skater.

In my opinion, most scouts are morons and project stupid things and make stupid comparisons. Statistics are statistics and i stand by them very strongly. If the player is a bust, hes a bust, but you know you went into a draft selecting the best player because he got those statistics for a reason. Majority of the time those players are not busts, you have those selected few that are or never reached their full potential or in some cases like we have been talking about, never given a real chance to play in the NHL for a full season to prove themselves.

I look forward to this friday to see who we draft, either we move down to draft galchenyuk or we stay put and draft one of forsberg or grigorenko.

Toffoli has incredible statistics, kadri had good statistics as well, but its about giving these guys a chance to see what they can do and how they improve themselves each year getting better not worse.
