Nicklas Jensen, who Burke passed over, is going to be one of those type of players. 50-60 pts in junior but he's going to be a 30 goal scorer in the NHL IMO, Nucks picked him at 29th.

I do, though im saying for first overalls who surpass the norm and just dominates the league you have to pick as a draft choice like crosby, like the stamkos, like the brassards, like the nuges, like the halls, like the yakopovs, you cant just say NO to players like that.. thats down right stupid.

So basically along the stretches of draft day for the leafs your telling me that if we went with the best selections of giroux over tlusty at 16th in 2006, keeping tukka rask instead of pogge that we would not be the better team by now? Ever since the 2008 draft at least we have made the more apporpiate selections.. i cant belive we missed out on so many drafts before 2006... thats messed up, so many good players... haha wow our management is really (frank)ed up big time

Not really, its just a fact that for so long we havent been at the drafts and that we have missed out on good players and that our scouts were terrible back then with leaf management. This is why we have no star players and had to trade for one like kessel which wasnt really necessary but he is a good player. At least we are making better selections since 2008 now and taking the better players where schenn was a good tough defencemen, kadris ratio of points was good, percy and biggs were low picks but who knows there. Not really a strong pool of prospects since the leafs like to miss draft days alot

Scouts are morons. Tlusty is going to be amazing He had 34 pts in 37 games wow hes gunna be simply incredible as a 1st rounder..... what morons of scouts we had at the time, when giroux is sitting there with his 112 pts What a joke society is and leafs organization

Your statement makes no sense, you refuse to select the best possible player who singe handly dominates either the OHL, QMHL, etc etc leagues yet say they are terrible choices? Yes you have to analyze each player but statistics play a major role. Plus backstrom had 40 pts in 45 games when selected, swedes are not known to destroy in statistics or have a high ratio of points for the number of games played
