very good return considering how bob has played up to now, but he does have the skill to make us regret it...maybe.

Put up 64pts in QMJHL this past year. Some mocks had him going in the first..though unlikely. Can't do much about last year now.

Here's numbers to show you:

Bob's cap hit: 1.75 million
Marty Biron's cap hit: 875 thousand

The difference isn't HUGE but with a hard cap ceiling every bit counts.

wasnt leighton the best goalie in the ahl last year, i never had an issue with him being a back up

He's usually ineffective coming off the bench or after a string of weeks where he hasn't gotten a start -- he's not a viable NHL backup for that reason. It's not surprising that the only time he's been able to stick with a team and in the NHL is when he was in a starting role.
