I don't think they'd do that if it were their only move... - LeachHextall27
I have said it numerous times, but the move I would look to make would be to get E. Kane and Enstrom out of WPG....

what would you consider Carter? - nastyflyergirl
I would not consider Carter a star player. And in my opinion, Carter is a better player then Ryan is. |

thats a mightyyy big risk.. What if you make that move and then Nashville decides to hold onto Weber? - jak521
Well you wouldn't do it unless Nashville accepts. So basically, it's a 3-team trade. In essence at least. |

Agree with the first statement. Second one is at the very least debateable. |

Look, i love Read. But if were getting back Ryan, i think i could accept him getting traded. Ryan would be amazing with G. - FLYERSROCK!
Plus, it would allow Hartnell to team up with Briere again.
Team core
Giroux/Ryan
Briere/Hartnell
Schenn/Simmonds
Coots/Talbot
Filll in the blanks with the remainder. |

I just dont see Nashville agreeing to 3 firsts for Weber..
If I were Poile.. to even start a conversation about trading Weber I would ask for a top 6 forward and top 4 d-man.. and potentially a first or their top prospect. |

It would be 3 firsts AND Voracek in that scenario, with them likely taking Reinhart or Dumba with the 6th pick.

And on top of it.. Ryan has been on a very successful line.. He has put up very solid totals while playing with Getzlaf and Perry.
***I know yesterday I was arguing against this very train of thought, but I also stated several times I understand player do benefit from playing with certain other players.. just not to a degree of increasing your point total by 30+ points*** |

Yup. Getzlaf is one of the best playmaking centers in the league too without question. |

To me it doesnt matter who you take with that pick.. I would want guy s that will help NOW.
Nashville isnt a team that is looking to restock the cupboard.. they want to win a cup. |

All of a sudden I'm thinkin' of 1970, Sly Stone:
Everybody is a star
I can feel it when you shine on me
I love you for who you are
Not the one you feel you need to be
Ever catch a falling star
Ain't no stopping 'til it's in the ground
Everybody is a star
One big circle going round and round |

Exactly why I still dont think they will trade Weber..
I went over this yesterday.. I honestly think Suter signs elsewhere, the Preds ink Weber long term, and then try to get Parise.. |

Very possible.
It's just an idea, although I do think it's possible the Preds deal Weber today. |
