Why would there be a concern with the AHL goaltenders when the Flyers don't have a backup in place. Leighton is the backup to Bryz. Can't move on from this sack of poop he's got to be thrown in the fans faces. Embarrassing signing. - PLindbergh31
Let me ask you a question. WHY THE (frank) ARE YOU FREAKING OUT OVER THE BACKUP (frank)ING GOALIE??????!!!!! He's going to play 15 (frank)ing games goddammit. Bryz plays better with more work, so why would we want to sign a guy who's going to want to play 30 games and demand more than 1 million dollars? Who the (frank) cares. Get over it or stop rooting for the team. |

Don't do anything until you lose out on Parise. |

Agreed.
Need a 4th line center though. I'd love McClement. |

Leighton has often needed regular work to be sharp, but has too many holes to be NHL starter. A fine AHL starter, below-average NHL backup.

Gotta pay him signing bonus today and next year... so couple bottles of Jamo or two cases of Bud Light each year? |

Leighton started in ahl all star game, i think he deserves a back up role for less than a mil |

Not freaking put over it but I'm not too crazy about bringing Leighton back if their plan is to keep him on the Flyers as the back up.
Better to have cut ties with him I think. |

I agree... Not much talk about him. Maybe pick him up for a fair - reasonable number. His skills fit well with what they need. |

Do you see Talbot as a 3rd or 4th line player this year?
Couturier's winger? |

Backups are nothing more than failed starters.
Leighton will do just fine as a backup to Bryz.
This is the least of my concerns today. |

This might sound crazy but I think he's a better backup than Bob IMO. In the long run Bob is the better player but needs to get starts and leighton should be okay for his 15 starts. Will see what other moves happen before I judge the entire body of work. |

the karma w/ this is the worst part, but the idea that he's who would lean on if bryz got hurt is scary. a good b/u should be able to give his team a chance to win gms. w/ this zero, it could get ugly. |
