Apparently Garrison is going to get > $6.5 mill.... - LordStanley88
That would be ridiculous. McKenzie said Suter is going to get 10 years with an AAV of at least 7M. The Salary Cap has sure kept spending down.

Like #Flyers the #Wild have thrown the kitchen sink at Parise/Suter. Going rate on all #NHL offers are now minimum 12 years between 80-90M
Getting to be crazy, stupid offers right now. I actually hope the Flyers get outbid if this is the case. Nash's 6 yrs as $7.8 million is turning into a bargain at this rate. |

What's that make Carle a $8 million per d-man? - ob18
Seriously. I'm a Carle fan. But if the salaries are that out of whack. Please just say no, Homer!

Anybody else thinking they should have taken a D-man in the draft at these rates? |

So the rumors are that the Parise deal is approaching the Crosby deal... what is the NHL coming to?
Is it possible the Flyers are in this to run the price of Parise up on the Penguins and maybe push him out west? I can't imagine with the young players we are going to need to lock up that the Flyers are going to sign Parise and/or Suter to $9 mill cap hits... |

You take the player who you think is the best on the board. Never in any draft do you take based off positional need. That is when you make piss poor draft choices. |

They took 4 of them didn't they? I mean of course it's all just rumors, but from some solid sources such as McKenzie. These offers are something that should be given to franchise players. Like Gretzky in his prime. It's out of control. What's it going to cost the Flyers when it's time to re-up Giroux?

The best player in the world (when healthy) signed 8.7M cap hit. I wouldnt give Suter any more than 6.6M and Parise 7M. Stand pat and regroup. |

Oh I know, personally I still thought defense was the best on the board. But I still like who they took, was fortunate to have seen him last year when in Ottawa. |

Dont get sucked in. Makes no sense to overpay for these players. The market is thin and I rather look in another direction to improve the roster. |

Yeah 2 may never be seen here though, just makes me laugh at the prices & use hindsight. |

But Giroux is the type of player you drop a deal like that on. In the Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos category of contracts. |
