Has detroit been informed they are out on one of Suter or Parise or do they have a TON of cap space? They just made two signings |

They aren't taking the strategy of Parise/Suter or bust. Holland is actually making moves to improve his club in the meantime. Novel concept isn't it? |

The only reason they are doing that is because they are still left with almost $19 million after making those moves...
I have absolutely no issues with the Flyers approach. |

Helps to have 25M in cap space to start the day off. |

Is this a criticism of the Flyers? Are you saying that the Flyers are taking that strategy? |

Now I'm starting to believe that the Flyers offered this clown close to $100 million. "I'm lost in the woods"- Bryz |

Parise has Detroit on his 'list'. However, you've got to wonder if Detroit still has him on their list... The just picked up Sammuelsson (again) and Tootoo, adding ~$5M

But from the looks of it, it's the going rate these days. It's not like the Flyers are the only ones making these offers. Two of the most respected teams in the league are right in there as well... Wings/Penguins. - Flyers2821
I said that yesterday, last year Nash's cap hit was considered horrible, by October it will look more down to earth considering |

I'm disappointed Holmgren didn't counteract the Rags signings of two goons today. |

I want Weber for that kind of money. Give me a franchise defenseman that comes around once in awhile. I'm willing to pony up for the MONSTER. - stveshdy
I agree! He's at the top of the list! |

To get a guy like Parise thats the kind of money you need to throw. All teams prob threw in that "ballpark" amount of money. Basically it comes down to who he wants to play for and play with for the rest of his career. If the Flyers got him I would be jacked up, its not like he a joke and the cap hit would be better than Nash's by a bit. |

I can't even begin to talk about the Rangers b/c I was at a wedding this past weekend in North Jersey and I argued for days about Lundqvist. I love how the Rangers have one successful season and they act like they wont 10 cups in a row. Friggin Joke. I hate all NY fans. |

Detroit has more holes, plus they are getting old as well if you look at the roster, the young guys are just role players |

Not sure what the Flyers have planned if they miss out on Parise and Suter. Lets say Carle walks also. They plan on just using Bourdon, Lilja, and Gus as the 6th all season? Just doesnt seem like their style. - stveshdy

Im with ya. Flyers probably had to throw the biggest number they could to get his attention to go to rival #2 aside from the Rangers.
The fact he hasn't signed anywhere yet is somewhat hopeful. |

It's not about money for the flyers they have enough to swallow the 100 mill . It's all about the cap hit. If you can get praise under 7 you do it! |
