The thing about a top 10 or top 100 list is that everyones list is different. Everyone has different opinions on what makes a good movie and what doesnt.

But the fact of the matter is, for TDK to be ranked the #8 movie on a website that allows hundreds of thousands of people (~730K people voted on TDK) to vote on their opinion, it shows you that TDK is actually on a lot of peoples top 10 lists.

I wouldnt put TDK in my top 10, but to many people, its a top 10 movie. I cant argue that.

I just think that the demographic of the Internet fits the demographic of movies like The Dark Knight perfectly. It doesn't give you a realistic picture. Although more people are online now than ever before, it is saturated by the 15-35 age range.

Liking a movie is relative. Some people will say The Godfather is the worst movie ever and some will say Twilight is the best movie ever.

Oh, I agree, but if I wanted to respect a list of the top 100 movies, I certainly wouldn't want one that is clearly representative of only the internet generation. I mean, where the hell is Citizen Kane? 40th? A full 25 spots after Inception? That is just ridiculous.

I will agree with you that Batman Begins is not top of box office or rating charts..

but you have never seen The Dark Knight have you???

The Dark Knight is a top 10 movie made.. and from the early shows and screenings.. the critics are saying that The Dark Knight Rises could be even better.

- JVince11

Your statement is based on sales.

The Shawshank Redemption was 10 times the movie as Avatar and Batman trilogy.

I like a few... Se7en was a very good movie..

The Wrestler was a very good movie as well just saw it last week for the first time actually.. was very slow but down to earth and real..

Catch me if you can was good.. not great..

Kill Bill's I've never seen because I find Uma Thurman laughable.

what's eating Gilbert Grape... interesting.. i'm not dogging it but I guess I have never seen someone say that as one of their favorites ever...

I would have to say mine are but not in any order...

The Dark Knight, Casino, Goodfellas, V for Vendetta, and American History X

Well I mentioned sales.. yes.. but also in fan rating and voting on both IMDB and RottenTomatoes which are the two biggest movie websites in the world.. TDK ranks VERY highly.

I think its completely batpoop crazy to consider The Wrestler a top 10 movie over The Dark Knight. Again, this is just my opinion.

That list is very anti sports movie too, and even then raging bull was good but not the best movie ever.
