Oh well, I am thinking some more teams start making RFA offers. This Weber thing could get things moving. The Rangers were definatly in on WEber, now I think they turn to NAsh. That could lead to some major chips falling into place for Buffalo to add Bobby Ryan. Heed my words! I am always right about this stuff!

He has a similar skill set to Drew Stafford, but he adds toughness that Drew lacks, and he is quite a bit more consistent. He makes this team better. He is a 1st line player and no matter who we give up, I am pretty confident in Darcy's trading skills.

Garth - I have to give it to you. I think I like your school of thought on ryan o'reilly. He is solid and would definitely add to this team - in the mold of Peca, Drury and Dustin Brown. I think he would compliment our acquisition of Ott too. Add some grit to this team. Don't know if we could afford to lose the draft picks - unless we would turn around and trade others for draft picks. It would be a nice move. I bet you a Sekera would gain you a first rounder at the trade deadline or even now. We have a surplus of D-men and a boatload of young talent. We should do what Philly just did - I thought it was a great move. They are loaded with young talent - they could afford to lose draft picks.

We got a reality slap this past season. We were pushed around all year and we lacked heart. I think that has been our style for the past 4 years since with lost Drury and Briere. Ott was solid, Pardy is serviceable. you got rid of Roy + & -'s but had to go. I think you sign ennis and maybe Kaleta and make a run at O'Reily.

Vanek - Grigs - Pominville
Ennis - Hodgson - Leino
Foligno - O'Reily - Stafford
Gerbe - Ott - Kaleta

That is a pretty decent line up with a bunch of fresh troops on the side to fill-in if needed (Adams, Tropp, Ellis, McCormick...). It would be a totally different look hockey team.
