love me some Oshie, O'Reilly is up there as well. but i'd take 4 firsts from Buffalo for either of them, especially if i knew swords were going to handcuff themselves with a big old cap hit like that.
the stress of this offer sheet mess gettin' to ya Garth?
to be honest, i'd prefer if the blues just locked Yoshi up for a half decade though. |

Lindy s type of player.Just like Kaleta .Going to be fun watching this guy make life miserable for the other teams.Reminds me of Scott Hartnel |

Seriously dude? Maybe you can write something realistic once a day and not nonsense 10x a day? What you're saying is you would give up four of Grigorenko, Girgensons, Ennis, Kassian (now Hodgson), Pysyk, Armia, or Myers for one O'Reilly or one Oshie? Neither have scored 20 goals and have had 3 or 4 years in the league. I'd take any single one of our picks over those guys and you want to give up four of those types of picks in the future for one of them? Or 8 first round picks for both if you had your way?? Come on, man. |

I don't get the infatuated love for Pominville by some. He's a solid 2nd line winger on most teams. The Sabres won't win a Cup anytime soon while he is their most "important" forward. |

Just my opinion hes been the most consistant winger weve had his whole career here.Yea u can say Vanek and Stafford but they go in huge droughts both of them.Pommer never gets down on himself and he scores on everyone. We have our tough guys now and roleplayers what we dont need to do is get rid of our true scorers. |

I agree, but we've been middle of the pack in the recent past and I think we can assume it won't be #30 and it won't be #1. I hope it will be #1, but don't see it with O'Reilly or Oshie as our additions in exchange for those draft picks. All of the guys I named we're middle 1st rounders. I still hope for the 30th overall pick every year!! |

He shouldn't need to be their most important forward, but that doesn't mean we should get rid of him either. I'd rather they somehow got a player that should be more important than him to help compliment what he brings to the team already. |

No one even knows if Ryan would work in this sytem and yet thier ready to hadn a guy over who does.I dont know its a huge gamble to me.See Lenio as an example. |

The problem with moving Pommer or Vanek for Ryan is that the top 6 would take a hit. Even though I think Ryan is a little better than Pominville, you can't argue that he was by far our best and most consistent forward last year. It would be pretty much a lateral move.
Any deal involving players from our top 6 need to fetch a significantly better player, or be packaged in a way that brings multiple players that have at least top 6 ceilings, if they aren't there already. |
