It's looking more and more like Thomas Vanek and Ryan Miller will be starting the season in Buffalo. Did Regier wait too long? I believe so.

It would be nice for something to happen just so we have something new to talk about. I'm tired of the same discussions every day. |

And darcy has made ZERO contract offers to Ott, Vanek and Miller...loser GM. Tampa did a sign and trade with Boyle years ago. Players like when you call them up and make a great offer. |

I think Devils are out of the question for Vanek. He's too expensive and giving up Henrique would be a mistake...at least until free agency next year. |

I might be able to live with Vanek on the list of top 20 sabres of all time, but Miller is not in the top 20
IMO no order
Pat Lafontaine
Alexander Mogilny
Micheal Peca
Domick Hasek
Phil Housley
Rick Martin
Rene Robert
Gilbert Perreault
Dave Andreychuk
Danny Gare
Bill Hajt
Dale Hawerchuk
Don Luce
Mike Ramsey
Jim Schoenfeld
Pierre Turgeon
Jerry Korab
Jason Pominville
Danny Briere
Rob Ray
Honarable Mention Matt Ellis
I stuck with guys who played 5 years here or more, one exception Briere 4 years cause of lockout.

I think it just shows my point that Miller is not a top 20 Sabre, because I would still include Drury, Folingo, Craig Ramsey and Vanek all ahead of Miller still.
Pedestrian stats on a stacked offensive team. Biron won 13 in a row in those years. |

I dont think Miller is a slam dunk top 20, but that being said I'd put him in there. |

Its just my opinion but he is a top 25, probably right at 25, and thats if you dont count the guys who only came here for a few years. |

He should be there well before guys like Drury, Korab, Pominville, even Vanek based on individual accomplishments. |

You dont need inside info or know what your talking about to see the writing on the wall that the market for high price goalies has dried up. And the fact still remains the Sabres are a much better team with Miller and Vanek than without. So I don't get all the hate towards them. |
