Lines I want to see for tonight
Pouliot Nuge Yakupov - 19 min
Perron Draisaitl Eberle - 17 min
Hendricks Arco Purcell - 15 min
Joensu Gordon Gazdic (he's in tonight right?) - 9 min
Marincin Petry - 23 min
Klefbom Fayne - 20 min
Aulie Schultz - 17 min
For the forwards I don't think we've seen that mix yet. Has an okay mix of size, skill, experience. Please don't play Schultz more than 18 min. I really don't see what we have to lose, we already blow.

Actually got a couple laughs out of me, well done sir Couple points; I agree with most of your assessments. Eakins comments after the Tuesday game were especially baffling. What you want to say to your players behind closed doors is one thing, but the coach should be that buffer against the media and the fans. Giving them more fuel helps no one.
Also, in theory I don't have a problem with Petry being scratched that game. First off we lost 6-1, I don't think Petry was going to stop or score 5 goals. On top of that, his play has looked quite solid since that game as well. It will be interesting to see how Marincin plays after being scratched tonight. Have to light a fire under guys every once in awhile. |

I like the blender. I might even try switch Purcell and Pouliot (off wing I know) but I could see Purcell chipping in more with those guys. Aulie Schultz kinda terrifies me... |

I agree, and I'm not usually opposed to making anyone (within reason) a healthy scratch, but it was the third game of the season and Petry's play didn't warrant a benching. Having him in there wouldn't have made much difference, but you have to give yourself the best chance to win. Playing Hunt and Nurse over Petry doesn't do that. |

Thus far Hendricks has been far better than yakupov
Deal with it
Who shoulda been up there then?
Ahl kid?
Destroy any balance and depth we have so that yaks gets only offensive players?
No thoughts of a strong checker and defensive presence with two offence kids? |

I'm done with these boneheaded backwards moves that this team is making. Every obvious move has been ignored for ridiculous ideas by management. Why did we send MM down now? |

Maybe the OBT are tanking on purpose for the next week or two to increase the value of their next years 1st(which the plan on trading). That is the only logic I can come up with for these bonehead moves Eakins and Co. have been putting together. |

Acton was our best option from the AHL apparently, and Hendricks > Yakupov.
I don't even know what to say to this, blows my mind that people actually truely believe this. |

Pouliot-RNH-Eberle
Pakarinen-Arco-Perron
Purcell-Draisaitl-Yak
Hendricks-Gordon-Joensuu - Dangles13
That second line might be a total anchor depending on how perron plays...
Only offence with offence! What do u mean blending lines so they can be effective at both ends!! This is ludicrous! Eakins must've designed this strategy on his own. No succesful nhl coach has ever employed such a strategy! |

Yea for sure, all the good coaches in the NHL put grinders in the top 2 lines |

Acton was already up and they probably weren't sure the extent of Hall's injury so they figured they would just play him for that game. I'm just speculating not stating facts. |

I'm just not a (frank)ing idiot who thinks having Hendricks on the 2nd line, who's averaged .09ppg over his career and calling up Acton for Halls injury is a good idea. While sending down Marincin for can't even compete in the AHL Aulie.

Well when our depth is pushed to its limits without our best player and some of our offensive kids might need a different element to their game, it's certainly not unheard of in short stints. |

yea, so why bring up a skilled powerfoward who actually might have a future with the team to cover an injury when we can put in Will Acton? Makes perfect sense |
