do you think Q will try to use TVR in games 1 or 2 while the series is young?

JJ. solid analysis as always. Any thoughts or insights from your guys on whom Q will dress for this series? Particularly third pair and 23 vs. some guys who are banged up.

Sounds about right JJ...

I dont see the Lightning forcing 7. When 19 and 88 are on like they are right now, we dont lose games.

Cant wait to go to game 1!

Heard from good source who has been close with Black Aces that TVR is nowhere near as close as Hawks are implying. Still can't really shoot the puck at all.

Basically if Chicago wins one game in the finals, they'll be only the second team since '80s Oilers to win 70+ playoff games in seven years.

Think of Tampa as being a much more skilled upfront version of Minnesota. Same prescription though. Keep them bottled up in their end with forecheck and cycle.

I think you will see a very similar TOI allocation as in Games 6 and 7 of the WCF, but maybe a bit more for Cumiskey because of his speed.

Hawks are too old, small, and slow

ALSO:

You might see Nordstrom in a game or two (or more) because he skates well and plays defense. Much depends on Bickell's and Kruger's status.

Well, too small was certainly tested versus Anaheim.

I think anyone who ever said they were too old or too slow needs their head examined.

The only guy who I would say is "long in the tooth" in terms of actual production is Sharp. Hossa is better than 98% of the league's 26 year-olds. Keith? Ha.

Could easily go 7, but at that point, I don't think the building would matter. Could also go 5.

Kruger will be vital in this series. Together with Toews they can shut down most lines in the league. While I thought TT played extremely well vs the Ducks we may see him shine offensively in a less physical, more fast and skilled environment.

Oduya also didn't play in that 4-0 Hawks loss.

Not sure about Nordstrom.

q went with that line of thinking in game 3 vs Anaheim and Nordstrom cost them that game by failing to rotate over quick enough to stop the shot from the umbrella set up.

They will need whatever they can get out of Bickell and Kruger. Both those guys at 75% are a better option then Nordstrom at 100%.

To answer your question from the previous blog....

Washington Redskins are easily one.

So were the Chicago Cubs under a common executive in control........
