Count me as one of the many confused readers. Garth has spent the last 6-8 months trying to trade E Kane. Now he's talking about next year. In a world were mediocre players like Nash (7.8m), Statsny (7m) Backes (6m), LUcic (6m) & Okposo (6m) are all older than Kane and all signed to rich long term deals the Sabres will have to pay up to resign Kane. Kane is a great player, when he wants to be and is healthy. The problem is and has always been is consistency

Eichel is smart not to be drawn in, friends or not. He is about to get paid. Why say anything that may hurt him.
