Karine Hains: Evaluation Time A week off a quarter of the way into the season seems like a good time to hand out some grades. Today, the goaltenders and the blue liners, tomorrow, the forwards.

Bang on Karine.
I agree on all those except maybe Price is a little high.
But B- is about 70%
I feel he has been in the 60% + range which neither could be seen as adequate.
That's by no means is a rip on Price it's just that as fans we know what he is capable of and any less is a disappointment.
But 70% if fair i guess.

An old TVA Reality TV show, they made two teams taking some people who played in garage leagues (no professional players allowed), mostly were some people who used to play in the QMJHL. They made one team for Montreal, and another for Quebec City.

Brisebois was assistant coach with Montreal, and Bob Hartley was the head coach for Québec. Some guy on the Quebec team roughed up a smaller Montreal player, Brisebois wasn't happy so he was waiting in the hall between periods and started to call the guy out when he got back to his dressing room. Hartley wasn't happy about it, saying that Brisebois had no business talking to his players.

Then a funny back and forth ensued, Brisebois asking Hartley who the (frank) he thought he was, telling him that he couldn't even hold on to a coaching job.

they only had 1 "season" of that show, right? I wonder if it's because of the ratings, or because things just got too heated up (which makes for entertaining television imo)

The novelty wears off. Also, people will fake it the next season because they want to be a star

well, they could've had 2 or 3 seasons at least before wearing off, after all it's hockey... and you can't really fake talent, unless you mean drama, which is done in every single reality show

Reality TV show in Québec called Quebec-Montreal, basically wannabe hockey players competing against each other

Searched for videos of this, and got some results in both Google and YouTube. But I wished there was one with subtitles in English. Some of the results in YT had the CC label, but for some reason it isn't working in my browser, so I can't tell if any of them actually have an English subtitle option. Still interesting to hear even if I don't understand the actual exchange.

Based on Price rating he should be traded, but let’s give him a chance

The closest thing I found was on some other forum (for Flames) and it was pretty much a synopsis, not a translated transcription.

you consider B- to be a "he should be traded" grade? I thought she was being nice

Reasonable assessments of the squad, with the lone significant exception being Price.

Sitting at 38th ranking for save percentage Price is on pace to continue his significant decline well into his 4th straight season. Considering this edition of the team has been constructed with a defence 1st mentality, I cannot comfortably rate him higher than C-. I suggest is is possible Allen may become the 1A goalie before the season ends.

Otherwise, most of the roster continues to exceed expectations, closely deserving the assessed grades. As such, even with the other teams in the north straitening-out their own defensive liabilities, the Habs should be able to hold on to their playoff spot despite Price's poor performance.
