Zero chance Buffalo gets more than a first round pick for Hall. Zero chance any team even gives up just the first round pick for Hall. Zero chance!

Wow! St.Louis?? A week ago you didn't even have them on the free preview rumour chart for Hall. You had Calgary leading the way at 30%, NYI at 25%, Boston at 20%, Edmonton at 10%, Colorado at 10%, Minnesota at 5%. And now out of nowhere St.Louis has the inside track and no mention at all of Boston, Colorado, or Minnesota. Crazy times. Good digging though. The tectonic plates are obviously shifting. I'll be checking back all evening. Having Friedman, Dreger, and Lebrun on twitter is also where I check.

Agree, no way they are getting a first for Hall. With the year he is having and cap number they will be lucky to get a couple of B prospects. Teams like the Blues don't have the cap space.

My favorite time of the year when GMs get really reckless and stupid and then 2 or 3 years down the road they are not competitive, In salary cap hell and then they get fired.

This is a year teams could throw away draft picks with scouting being a crap show. With limited games and such. But I could also see teams not wanting to take on this years draft picks as well.

If Barclay Goodrow can get a first round pick back so can Taylor Hall. A number one that is likely to be picking 25 to 32 isn't really worth much. I could see a number one and someone that makes 3 million + coming back with Buffalo retaining 50%

There is little doubt that the Staal trade to Montreal has accelerated talk surrounding Taylor Hall tonight. While this may be true, it doesn't mean that Buffalo is going to be quick on the trigger or that they will accept less...

I think a lot of Oiler fans are happy enough with Larsson, and Hall tripped over the blue line.

Making $8M a year why would Hall want to leave Buffalo, follow his career path, he makes big bucks and has the summer off. Biggest slacker since Alexander Daigle.

Ageed, better for Hall to stay in Buffalo this year. If he gets traded and flops his value will drop significantly (even more so). Take the money from Buffalo, play out the year and leave some mystery for other teams to decide if they want to sign him.

No way someone wants to trade a 1st, let alone a prospect added to that. If a team gives a first there has to be retained salary.

If a solid playoff contender trades for Hall and he doesn’t produce, what excuse will we hear? He’s getting plenty of ice time.

A 1st and an NHL ready prospect? You're bonkers

This isn't his MVP campaign. He has 2 (frank)ing goals.
