I'm betting there's more to the story. Maybe Blake offered some incentive to get Francis to take MacDermid over Clague. |

Could have offered Lizotte as compensation to select MacDermid over Clague. |

Hahaha. All of the worrying and debate for the last year and they take the one player that every Kings fan has wanted them to take this whole time. Hahaha.
Ok, seriously, as Hoven mentioned in the article that I posted yesterday, Ron Francis once played with Kurtis MacDermid's father (or something like that), so this is likely a character pick, i.e. he assumes that Kurtis has good character because his dad did. That's probably all the pick comes down to. |

Apparently, Seattle will be picking Eberle from the Isles and rumor or speculation (not sure which) is that the Isles may've given them incentive to not take Bailey. If true, then Seattle may've picked Eberle just to flip him, and a separate rumor is that Blake is interested in him. I wonder if we'll see a trade between Seattle and LA between tonight and Saturday (assuming that Seattle will want a draft pick for this year).
Edit: Scratch that idea. Eberle is in Seattle for the draft. They obviously won't trade him after dragging him in front of the fans with a Kraken jersey on. |

Had to be a pick or some compensation involved, glad clague gets another shot at a job this yr.he showed some signs of coming thru as a bottom pairing that can contribute a bit offensively and not be a total defensive liability. |

This could be happening with tarasenko as well.i think from now til the draft there is going to be some movement going on. |

Rumor is that Seattle picked Dunn over Tarasenko. St. Louis may move Tarasenko, themselves, by the draft, though, if that's what you were suggesting. |

Not surprised by them taking dunn, solid player just lost his confidence a bit imo.i was thinking they may chose tarasenko just to move him for assets |

Maybe they'll move Dunn. He's 24yo and a LD, pretty much exactly what Blake is looking to acquire. Of course, that fits what Seattle may want to keep and build around, but they seem to be taking an unusual number of defensemen. There's Larsson, Giordano, Oleksiak, H. Fleury, C. Fleury, MacDermid, Dunn, Soucy, Lauzon, Bayreuther and Borgen. That's 11. Some will go to the AHL, but they could still afford to flip one or two. |

I like dunn, hes underrated imo.defence is an easier asset to move and get pieces back for. |

That’s when he’s in the line up and that’s if other teams put their enforcers in. Las Vegas I don’t believe ever played Reaves when Mac was in the line up and vise versa. And unless they are moving him to wing, he’s only a liability when in the line up. |
