Glad it’s televised. Be interesting to see the kids and the new additions.
Also. Even if I’m at least Martin is more classy than Wilson. Please no more injuries. |

Haha probably not what he anticipated, but I will say I like the makeup of that line in the short term. All guys that play a 200 foot game, two wingers that work hard, at worst they should be a net even unit. |

Just imagine what Laughton is thinking. 4th line, center instead of wing, and between Nate & NAK.
I know, I know. It's just the first preseason game. It's a joke |

Yep. Nate will be a staple in the lineup imo. He adds nothing to the other 2 players. An offensive black hole. Do not like the makeup of that 4th in at all. Looks like they are just the 3 left over players put together.

Hayes and Alison both hurt, two more guys need to come back to the lineup. I doubt Nate is going to be a staple. |

What is the best way to watch the game tonight? I noted it will be televised on the NHL network at 4am Wednesday and again at 10am, but would like to watch it live. |

Looking at the lines through practice, where does Allison slot in? If Oskar is back to form and we know what JVR brings, I can't imagine there is a rush to get Allison back healthy. Let the ankle heal. Those high ankle sprains can be tricky. Someone will have to get moved to make room for Wade.
Hayes slots in at 2C or 3C depending on Frost's play. Moves Brassard down to 4th line and NAK to press box. Laughton, Nate, Brassard is a solid 4th line. |

I’m pretty sure they know each other, so I doubt either guy is that disappointed. |

It will be this way until Hayes and Allison come back, which is about 2 months from now, then I expect the 4th line will look a lot better. |

Laughton is a third line forward at best, 4th line is just fine for him. |

Then when Allison comes back you have Laughts - Brassard - Allison which is even a better 4th line. |

Our PK was worse than bad, it was the laughing stock of the entire league! If Nate can help here we should be open to the value he brings, even if its not flashy. |

I’ve never seen Scott Laughton play consistently at third line center. When we have seen him in that spot, it’s been next to JvR and I don’t think I’ve ever seen much production or chemistry between the two players. I’m with you, I think the fourth line is fine for him. I do like Laughton better as a winger. |

We disagree. He wasn't signed on the first day of free agency to not be in the lineup. We shall see if AV will sit him once he has a healthy lineup. Still would rather see someone else instead of Nate. If that doesn't work you can always insert Nate.
IMO the initial plan was Frost in AHL and NAK in the press box. Injuries have changed that scenario probably.

agree. at center i wouldn't want him above the 3c position. At wing i feel he can spot fill in the top six if needed.

playing nate for 2 months doesn't help your team in any way. He has nothing to offer in terms of helping Laughton or NAK. Again it is a 4th line with no identify or purpose.

Nate, Laughton, Brassard. All 3 can take face-offs. Late game shutdown. All 3 can play PK. That as a 4th line makes us a better team.
The issue will be when Allison returns. It will be interesting. Great problem to have. Our issue in the past has been when our guys have been forced to play up a line or two. When healthy, our guys will be slotted on the proper line. |
