Great write up! Totally agree with you.

You can see quite a difference in the competitive aspect with this team. Take out the Montreal game (where it seemed they were in “quicksand”, with bad bounces etc), this team seems to be moving in right direction.

My only complaint tonight would be the lack of whistle on the Panthers 2nd goal. But what do ya do?

Suter needs to get better on his face offs, as does Ras (Panthers 1st goal).

The sequence in the 3rd was absolutely insane. Inspired indeed. The blocks and the never “give up” attitude seen in that sequence needs to be replayed and infect and affect every member on the team.

Regardless of the point/win/loss aspects, this team is enjoyable to watch! How long has it been since we could say that?

Wings gotta get the special teams going if they want to hang around in the standings all season.

Last night just a good, solid game for the Wings. Truth be told, it could’ve easily been a game where Detroit was down 4-6 goals, but Ned played well, the defense was stronger…Stecher looked awesome. He’s SOOO much better than Lindstrom right now. Think he’s proven the D clicks when Lindstrom sits, but still need to get him ice time so he can prove whether he’s worth it or not.

The whole game was just better. They kept Gudas from being a Richard, Huberdeaux and Bob were insane (Bob HAD to play insane or FL may well have been blown out…). FL is a good team. And, honestly, to have to go to OT against The Wings is kid of embarrassing for them, I’d think. That being said, they’ve had a rough 36hrs, so an emotional let-down may be understandable.

Detroit seems much better overall. They’ve stayed in each game except v Les Habitants. Something’s different, but I still see some bad habits (too many passes, give-aways, etc…) in some games. So I’m still happy with what I see, but…..

A Saturday night tilt in Toronto. Will be a good game to see how they handle travel & another B2B. Raymond is getting it, the speed of the NHL as well as adjusting to NA. He’s got the potential to be a star. Mo Sides is proving he’s here to stay and people need to watch out for him; physical, great vision, crisp passes, sees the passing lanes and fills them quickly, good hand-eye…kid’s the real deal.
