For the guys gushing about Bailey's assist on Palmieri goal on last thread... 2 of the 3 goals against were his guy. He is literally a turn over machine in the Neutral zone.. but his play in D-Zone is worst on the team by far. If you can't see why people hate him you are clueless.

yeah.. I can't imagine Lou would trade for a guy who would not be allowed to play in NY home games at this time. Unless the fact that UBS is in Long Island means he can play.. but who knows. There have been some very questionable trade rumors on Islanders this week. Including us trading Pulock and/or Mayfield. I don't see either of those happening.

Seems highly unlikely Varlamov gets moved at the deadline. My guess is he doesn't get moved at all.

If you're wondering, Zach Parise said he has not had any discussions with Lou Lamoriello about a trade and even if he has had them he wouldn't discuss them publicly. He would like to return to the Islanders next season, says he loves it with the team. Parise is on a 1 year deal.

Bailey is +6 with 7 points in the last 5 games. To blame those goals on just Bailey is laughable. Pelech gets stripped of the puck in the d zone on a zone exit on Manthas goal that starts the poop show in their end. Bailey and Pulock soft in front. OVs second goal off a clean FO win. I was referring to Palmieri. I don’t know when he got injured but he was bad right out of the gate. I agree he’s been fantastic lately but his poor start (and others too) are the reason we’re on the outside looking in.

Another pending UFA on the #Isles, of course, is Andy Greene. And, same as Parise, I don’t think he’s been approached yet about moving. It would probably have to be something he’d actively pursue, and I don’t get the impression that’s something he wants to do.

Going to be a very quiet deadline.

Although now that I said that Lou will trade for McDavid or something.

McDavid and Draisaitl both.

I would think that Lou would try to re-sign the UFAs he wants back for next season. If he can't work out a deal, why not trade them for picks/prospects, instead of losing them for nothing?
