Hains: Saturday Night Delight
For the second time in as many Saturday night, the Bell Centre was absolutely rocking and the Canadiens treated their fans to a dominating 5-1 win over the Sens. |

LA Kings fishing to add a top 6 F with term, apparently one of Grans or Faber will be the bait |

Both are RD, both taken in the 2nd round in 2020... Grans has decent numbers already playing in the AHL as a 19 year old. Faber plays in the Big Ten... they're good prospects. |

Hoffmann? - deadpoulet
That's definitely what I would suggest but lots of people think he has zero value |

Nobody touching Gallagher right now anyway, I like him too but with money/term vs production this season, it's a real tough sell.
Habs could keep 25% of Hoffman's contract (1.1 M for the next 2 years), they could take Maatta off their hands too, could even toss them a 4th or 5th rounder if they wanna cough up Grans. |

possible trade destinations for Petry..?
https://thehockeywriters....-destinations-jeff-petry/
The first team that comes to mind is Petry’s hometown Detroit Red Wings. His father, Dan Petry, was a Major League Baseball pitcher and won a World Series with the Detroit Tigers in 1984.
woah, with that kind of connection a trade is imminent, he's Detroit-bound for sure!! |

Not really a rumor.... it just said LA would like to add a top 6 F with term and the writer suggested 3 prospects who would be dangled, those 2 D we're among them.... and I forget who the 3rd one is lol |

I don't see Yzerman giving up a prospect or good picks to acquire a 34 year old, declining D just because he's from Detroit, they're building too |

yeah I don't see it at all either, doesn't make too much sense, which is why the allusion to his dad winning with the Detroit Tigers in 1984 kind of made me chuckle, as if it would have any influence whatsoever on the current situation lol.
one thing I was wondering though, I think the "family issues" he was dealing with were because of covid restrictions, but now that things are going back to something closer to normal, is it still a problem for him? not that I really want him to stay... |

I didn't know it was Covid related at all... and I have no idea if it changes things for him, clearly doesn't change for Hughes, he said he's trading him |

Shuneman is a surprise. I’m liking what he brings. I think he could easily replace Kulak if he was traded. With Edmundson/Romanov or maybe the add of a Guhle or Harris, it would be interesting |

well that's what is mentioned in the article I was referring to... and yeah, he's gonna try and trade him for sure, but at the same time that's because he was acknowledging that Petry had requested to be traded. |

for sure, and besides with the way he's playing it isn't like other GMs were in a hurry to acquire him either lol

Exactly..... and especially to a team that's not making the playoffs like Detroit, people just trying to connect imaginary dots |
