it's really sad that his career ends this way, hopefully he'll be healthy enough to take care of his kids without being in any pain. - Pat1993
On the flip side, guys make enough money to know when the risk / pain is not worth it anymore, not like when guys went out there because they were making such small amounts of money they had no choice... those guys brains ended up completely scrambled or unable to walk (or both).
Sad it ends for him as an athlete and a Habs player.
Happy a guy like that can literally walk away, if his body tells him it is over.

So how are Habs fans supposed to propose Price to the Oilers for Nurse, Draisaitl and multiple firsts anymore? - wreckage
I mean...they still could. You guys could really use the cap space when McDavid asks for 20 million. All you need is to lose yourself of a bust of a dman and some German guy. When has a German been good at hockey?

good point, there are players that literally sacrificed everything for hockey to barely get anything in return.

You've got to admit it fits pretty well no? - Karine Hains
absolutely. I really liked his answer about what young goalies could change in their approach to the game in order to stay healthy.
I think teams are already on it though, we see more and more 2 goalies sharing the net. the time when a guy would play 60+ games is pretty much over.
