Tippett with the spin-o-rama...
- Glak18
Like most goal-scorers, he's going to go cold eventually and we'll end impatient with him, but when Tippet's rolling it's a thing of beauty. With his speed/size, he does things we haven't been able to enjoy since what?... Prime Big E? Maybe Carter I guess.

I’ve seen some pretty highlight Giroux goals. |

When Tippett is up on his skates like this he kinda reminds me of that Mackinnon guy. Not saying he is at his level, but damn... |

Definitely, Prime Giroux scored some beauty goals, but Tippet doesn't remind me of him. Giroux never had the size or top gear that Eric/Carter/Tippet have. I always think of Giroux getting behind the Defense first and then getting the puck or one-timing it. Tippet just has that speeding locomotive vibe that few players have. |

Tippett reminds me of Phil Kessel in his prime. |

Hard to compare Tippett to Lindros, since Big E was on a level all his own ... but damn, that goal was a thing of beauty.

In no way am I saying Tippet = Lindros. That would be crazy.
I'm just saying it's probably since Carter that we had someone that could seriously blow by defenders like that to score. And not like gagne either who was just straight ahead speed. Tippet's size and speed combo is just something we haven't seen often. Voracek should've been able to but he rarely used his size like that. Primeau had a few freight train highlights too I suppose but he was fairly awkward at times.

Don’t forget about Primeau. Build-wise, he reminds me of him, a little. |

I don’t think Tippett’s speed, agility and stick handling has anything to do with his size. You’re right. Lindros and Primeau used their body to blow pasted people but that’s not what I’m seeing Tippett do. |

Tippett has two nice goals the past two games where he’s driven to the net for a highlight goal but in no shape or form is he barreling over guys like Primeau or Lindros. In fact most of Tippett’s goals or shop attempts are from long range. Lindros would flatten players and score. |

A lot of talk will be about Tippett and rightfully so but Frost just went out and played his best game so far. |

Ovechkin lite someone else put it. I like that |

I spent the whole game saying “what is happening, what is happening, what is ….”
I can’t believe this team.
Frost played great. So did Walker. Trade him or keep him? |

He doesn’t have that killer instinct Ovi has all game long- just spurts. He reminds me of Owen Tippet. 🤪 Highly skilled, highlight goals, disappears sometimes. |

Tippett reminds me of Patrik Elias of the Devils.
Elias scored a few of those backhanded spin-o-ramas in his career.
Remember one against the Lightning on 12/19/14.
Playing styles and stats are similar, maybe Tippett eclipses what Elias did for the Devils?

Really fun game. Tippett's goal and Frost's pass were pretty flingin' flangin' great. Flyers are feeling it right now. Highly enjoyable. |
