Pretty much my thoughts exactly. He does nothing really well and it's hard not to imagine finding a player that does what he does and brings what he brings for a few 100k less. Why not have a spot open and let guys at camp earn that roster spot. Like say a Steeves or a similar who has been in our system but never got a real shot. Gotta start playing the guys we have before trading them for Dewar and Malgin type players. ie Verhague (sp) Grundstrom Durzi etc

If Treerube decide they like someone better then dump him to the Ahl.

1.18 - 1.15 means he only costs 30k on the Cap if he's dumped. Dewar would likely get picked up on waivers though.

Wow just seeing this line up makes me ill. 2 Tre off seasons, and I get the cap restraints, but it's now 2 summers post Dubas and aside from 2 guys that's still pretty much the Dubas line up. imo Kampf absolutely can't and should not be part of this team.

A long way to the trade deadline still. Hopefully Tre has plopped his biggest, dumbest turds early —looking at Derpluzzi, Klinger, Reaves here — and he's due a couple home runs. Yet these early moves in his tenure with the Leafs do give me The Fear.

But there is a hole for sure in the middle (3C). I know it was just rumours and not gonna happen but the folks posting a Vegas/mitchy thing was wishful thinking (Karlsson/Dman)
