Wild. Almost like a bunch have been saying that the 4 nations tourney has teams wanting to make deals prior to allow time for players to settle in…

While some have talked about Pittsburgh being full buyer mode and Detroit being a seller...all one has to do is pay attention to the standings.

Wings have been on a roll since the coaching change. They're in a wildcard spot. So, no, they aren't selling. Pitt and Philly have been eliminated for over a month now. So is Montreal and Buffalo. In the West there are 9 teams fighting for 8 spots. The other 7 are sellers.

I'm amazed teams are discussing Horvat. He's signed for 3 more years after this with a full NTC. That might be something you explore in the summer, but not now. NYI won't sell now but take as much time as possible to see where they stand. If they fade in the standings then it would be Nelson and Palmieri on the move, not Horvat.

I notice Washington is visiting Philly today. Top level NHL sources could be lunch with Caps Owner Ted Leonsis, maybe GM Chris Patrick, maybe assistant coach Kirk Muller? Hopefully we get an idea on what the Caps will do. I could see them adding a depth forward. Maybe a guy like Bjugstad.

This site is like a car crash I saw today, the last thing you want to do is look, but everyone has slowed down so you do. Yuck! I feel dirty.
