Jeff Quirin: It's a Numbers Game for the Blues Regarding Goals The St. Louis Blues need to score more goals to win games. Have they done enough to reach the level they're shooting for? Yes. Here's why + stats...

It would be nice if they score more goals, but realistically they score plenty with the defense we have. The last two regular seasons are proof that we score enough.

In the playoffs, that is a different story. I think a lot of that changes if Halak is in net though.

Bottom line, I believe that the Blues will score more with this current group and be more than fine.

Well done.

What's MPS looking like so far for STL?

Not too promising since he will likely be a healthy scratch game 1. In the preseason game I saw him in, he looked pretty good. (last preseason game) But the fact that he is on the outside looking in game 1 is not ideal.

The Blues are deep, but he should be playing IMO. And I don't exactly know what to think that Hitch thinks he should be sitting. Maybe he just needs some time to get adjusted to playing in the system?

With Vokoun going down in Pittsburgh, is there any reason to think that Shero and Armstrong are talking about Elliot?
