Randall Ritchey: Jackman Wins Game Two For The Blues The St. Louis Blues take a 2-0 series lead over the Chicago Blackhawks with a huge overtime win.

The series will shift back to Chicago and there could be a few players missing in the next few games.

Every hit is different, but the Orpik hit on Toews earlier this season reminded me a lot of the Seabrook hit on Backes. The Orpik hit resulted in no penalty or suspension in the regular season. Never sure what Shanahan is thinking... Just saying...

Unreal. Good on the Blues for winning the first two. Hawks will be ready for game 3 at home. Tough to lose two in OT, however.

Shanahan is out of the picture. If Lucic can perform a vasectomy and get a lousy 5k fine Seabrook is going to walk.

I'm going to start by saying this: The Orpik hit was dirty. However, the Orpik hit was clearly shoulder to shoulder, with no head contact. This was clearly shoulder to head. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Timeout here.

Read the Hawks thread and you can see how angry about this I am and how much I'm ripping on Seabrook AND Bickell.

Seabrook did not leave his feet, c'mon... stop with the homer crap

And the principle point of contact wasn't his head - at least not when he started his hit, and Backes leaned down prior to getting hit.

Call it actually how it happened.

You're seeing it through blue shades and I'm seeing it through rose shades, to each his own. Dirty hits all around. I'm just goin on how I see it and how they enforce it.

Actually he does leave his feet. How many game did Torres get for his hit on Seabrook? Seakbrook is looking at a lengthy suspension here...

Disgraceful hit by Seabrook - suspension for sure, minimum of two games. And he lost the game for the Hawks - very surprised Hawks fans have anything other to say as it doesn't get much clearer than this.

He is calling it how it actually and and it's you hawks fans that are acting like homers. He did leave his feet and he did head hunt. Are you guys blind? Seabrook is looking at a long one.

What ever, he wasn't skating hard when the hit happened, and look at where the skates was before contact on the ice, no off.. The hit on Toew's involved Orpik leaving the ice.. Same scenario no suspension.... Remember Backe's was playing injured, did he aggravate the same injury...... Just saying, see Seabrook the next game. Go Hawk's.

Announcers even stated his feet left the ice after there was contact, look at the video again and pause at the first contact, right skate on the ice. Doesn't change how i feel about the hit, terrible hit/uncalled for/stupid, but skate was on the ice at contact.

It's pretty much the exact same hit that Torres laid on Seakbrook. You know, the one where Hawks fans were saying Torres should get banned for life for.

Every situation is different, you can't look at one hit then make a decision on a different one, separate situations. He will get suspended, though i feel one game is enough.

Good game Blues fans. We are getting out worked and out coached.

Seabs should get two games. Bad hit.

Just wish the refs were more consistent, but we all can dream.

Here is to hoping its at least six games, and it's more about hockey than cheap shots.

Also, something that ticked me off about it: No call on the ice after the hit. Play continued until, I believe Shattenkirk, got involved with Seabrook. How can play continue and then call a penalty later?

Did Backes re-aggravate his injury?? Well he had a foot injury, did his foot move to his head?? And I'm the homer. Go bac to your Hawks thread and whine about it. No one wants to hear you make excuses here.

1) Seabrooks hit was suspension worthy

2) He did not leave his feet. Still frame photography is fantastic - it's used all the time on the much more active Hawks message board. Take a look at the still frame just a second before the hit - not after the hit (as this still frame showed) happened and both players momentum knocked them off their skates.

Ummm... hey pal. I don't give a donkey's nuts if you're a blogger or not. You might want to head over to the Hawks thread and talk to your few Blues fans that are on this site about what they are posting.

Just sayin'....

No - it's not remotely the same hit.

He didn't leave his skates prior to the hit
Hossa didn't have the puck remotely around him
Hossa also didn't move downwards just prior to the hit thus having the hit on his head vs. a hard hit to the shoulder

Completely 100% different hits.

That still frame is DURING CONTACT. Seabrook is off his skates.
