It's one thing to shoot down comments by a GM dismissing a rumor, I get that (MacT and Dion). It's another thing to shoot down a comment like this from a GM;
"I spoke to Saku, Jonas and Dan all last week. I told them that we would not be offering them contracts moving forward," Murray stated at a conference call. |

Any new news about Statsny? His agent said he was sitting down with Joe and would try to find a middle ground.

Yeah, I mean, Murray clearly said we will not be offering Winnik a contract. That's pretty much it, a Gm isn't going to say that and then go back. It's understandable for a GM to go back on many comments, but a clearly defined statement showing he isn't going to resign three players after discussing it with them..yeah, I don't think Murray suddenly changed his mind. |
