Expecting Steen to play like a first line Center? If your going to write about someone, at least find out what position they've actually been playing the last half decade.

People make typos. It's entirely possible to point them out without being a jerk.

Pavelski, Nyquist, Bozak, J Ward, Palat, Landeskog, Niskanen, Bonino are my candidates

for goalies Varlamov, Bishop, n Price. Maybe Mason to an extent

a lot of puck luck 103.8 PDO

Maybe his regression could be counterbalanced a good amount by his development though. Only gonna be 22 this year

You aren't describing any real regression here. This blog is more of a "Here's Three Guys Who Will Not Have Career Highs in 2014-2015"

well at least with Landy if he isnt putting up points he has his 2way game and hitting to fall back on, offence might dip but he has a strong overall game

absolutely. When a guy like Yak has his production regress (to the max) he's got nothing else.

Like I said to ystoil though, his development could stop his production from taking a dip. Only 21/22

I'd agree with most of those guys, except Landeskog, cause like someone else pointed out, he should still improve enough to counter balance some of his luck.

The goalies, though, are impossible to predict. I wouldn't put Price on that list and I don't think Mason really had a good year last year ( i could be wrong) but for sure on Bishop and Varly. Though Tampa stands to be pretty good, you'd think.

That was me that pointed it out (twice). A 104 PDO is just too crazy not to regress though. Still if Landeskog has a 55-60P season playing a great 2way game that's fantastic.

Price jumped from a .905 last season to a .927 this year. Don't think it's unfair to think he won't repeat those numbers. Mason had a good year and I think he's a sh*t goalie. Varlamov's another guy with a huge jump like Price (.903-.927) but I do think he's a good goalie. Bishop's only got 1 year as a starter under his belt so who knows

Or even "Guys You May Want To Be Wary Of During Fantasy Drafting" would fit the bill.

That being said, besides the Steen positional mix-up this was decent article with reasonable projections.

...did James Tanner really author this?

Ribbing aside, it's obvious that people are grasping at straws this time to find fault with your article. Admittedly it's much shorter than I expected; but short & sweet works all the same.

Yes, this is me complimenting James Tanner just a day removed from panning his last article for being outlandish. I'm glad to see things have come full circle. I'll be sure to savor this while it lasts

...that was good for me, was it good for you? *lights a cig*

That line made me smile considerably.

It's almost like he's throwing caution to the wind, as if to say, "why even bother checking the numbers when you're all just going to throw them in my face in the comments later? HAVE AT THEE!"

Fun blog James. Some turkeys just like to make a lot of noise and are really not on here for the hockey, rather just doing what they do best and we all know who they are.

Could be wrong, and are. It's tough to watch every NHL game for a full season for a few teams, let alone the entire league. I will concede that you did disclaimer that statement. I watched every Flyers game last season, and I can count on one hand how many bad games Mason had. So many games he was lights out, and the only reason we won many games.

Fair enough. I had in my pool and he seemed to go cold for the second half. Still, let's not pretend hockey pools and reality are the same thing.

Nomintating P Sharp is kind of a mailing it in. Put some effort in James. He didn't really have that good of a second half regular season last year and he was pretty much invisible in the post season. I think his regression is already prevalent.

Interesting list. Though why Bozak? I think if he can get the puck on kessel's stick, he should hit 50+ points.

My guesses are Marleau becomes a 50-60 point guy and the Sedins have found a new normal at 50-60 points.
