they were D partners during WJCs. So I say yes. Makes sense why Zads looked comfortable playing the right side at times this season. He was playing there with Mirinov

I see Mironov and Zadorov playing together on the 3rd pair at defense next season. A physical and shutdown russian duo on the blueline. However, the Avs still need to find a young defenseman with an offensive potential, someting they lack in their system (exception for Meloche). Say hello to one of Duchene or Landy for a young offensive D.
Some options: Hanifin/Fleury, Theodore/Montour, Pulock, Chabot, etc.

I think the ideal situation going into next season is

Hanifin Johnson
Zads Barrie
Mirinov Barberio

They are very high on Barberio and will be giving Zads way more leash to roll with next season too. He is a a beast and was putting it all together game by game last season, very encouraging signs for him

Without other trades moving Johnson or Barrie out...I think thats their d solution next season

nope....Zads is mine He won't beat you on the score sheet, he might go brain dead from time to time. But boy is he a human wrecking ball, and the stars of the central division have taken notice. Dont come down Zads side or else you feel pain

I forget who it was he walloped in his first game as a Sabre. I'm sure that guy did though, as will others. Good for you, like the idea of him and Miro together one day though...maybe just not next year.
