First? I agree with you on that,it was a bad call ,and I know their's alot of hate here for toronto! But the headline seems like a bit of a shot? TORONTO! but a nice read! |

Quite disappointing. To favor the Pens through the offside challenge (I still think you can't tell, so goal stands) and then the penaltys right after.
I thought the challenges and cameras were going to take away the argument side of these calls. I say if it is that close, then it is always fine. He had no distinct advantage so who cares, just play the game. |

The point might be that the war room should not be in a city that has a team. Seems unfair or potentially bias. But to think he was taking a shot at the Leafs? You are reaching there. |

Ya maybe just the in toronto, instead of the nhl office? It wouldn't matter to me personally if it was in new York, in which I'm actually surprised it isn't, or buffalo for that matter! Either way I've never seen so many fans pissed by all teams in all rounds with the officiating |

My issue with these challenges lies with the fact that they're still not getting them right and it's slowing the game down.
Part of why I like hockey above all the other sports is because of the speed of a game overall. In general, there's a lot less downtime than there is in Baseball and Football. I can't really speak for Basketball as I just can't get myself into it at all. These challenges have done nothing but slow the game down and then there are times where they still don't seem to get the call right. It's pretty disappointing. |

I absolutely hate the Offside replay. I like the fact that here is a a little human element in the game. Did the refs really miss that call? No... Was his skate up in the air maybe, maybe not, but does it really matter? His skate clearly ON-sides, who cares if it was up in the air? What a dumb a$$ rule... - hehateme
The funny part about this part of the equation is that at the GM meetings not too long ago they discussed the possibility of changing the rule in a way that whether the skate was on/off the ice didn't matter. They chose to leave it as is and then of course the first goal in the SCF brings up this very thing (not that the rule change would have been in place yet, but that's not really the point here). |

It has been a bad year for calls (maybe just cause of recent memory, but could most years be bad?).
As far as where the review takes place, I guess I don't have an issue with it being in Toronto, but don't take that as (additional) hate for the Leafs.
I say if you have a "war room" then forget the refs, they made the call on the ice, the war room gets final say. |

I wouldn't hate Pittsburgh so much if Crosby wasn't such a crybaby. He literally is the Tom Brady of the NHL.
He's a great player, I won't deny that. But he needs to learn to shut his yap. |

Isn't it the refs and not the war room that make the decisions? War room just shows the replays no? |

goal call back followed by a 5 on 3 where the preds were playing well till what i would call a crosby interference that wasn't called..
the preds dominated a large portion of the game the refs dominated the rest |

preds were a wreck after that poor call for the entire period
to their credit, they played a great final 40 minutes, aside from one glitch but it was too much to overcome

didn't delve into it too deeply but rinne should have had that malkin shot and definitely should have had the game-winner by guentzel...he needed to shut the door on the pens after they fell behind 3-0...he didn't |
