Hains: Tough Loss to League Leaders
Tonight, the Leafs’ best players were their best players, the Habs’ weren’t. - Karine Hains
For the Canadiens to beat the Maple Leafs, Carey Price just cannot give them 5 goals. It has to be said that the penalties and the odd man rushes didn’t help him tonight, but that 4th goal, he could and should have stopped.
he let in a bad goal, yes, but in the end it wouldn't really have changed the result had he stopped that one

I somehow still think that disallowed goal really dug us in but we were not disciplined enough |

didn't the habs lose to them the last time?
guess playing the canucks 20 times to start the season can lure a team into a false sense of self
FFS, how does peanut keep this up. i already am starting to dislike myself. |

Pat Price Danault.
Hello.. - pete26
meh, because I don't see Price being the reason they lost tonight doesn't necessarily mean I think he's perfect either, Pete. |

Can we at least agree he was outplayed by the other goalie then? |

Andersen wasn't that threatened besides for the first period... given the score it's hard to argue against what you're saying but I still feel goaltending wasn't the main reason they lost the game. the laffs goalie made some pretty nice saves but so did Price. |

I don’t know Pat, the way I see it, when your goalie let’s in a bad goal, it’s deflating. When your 10 million goalie let’s in a bad goal, it’s even worst. |

I agree. I tend to look at his performance without necessarily considering that contract but I do understand the frustration/disappointment
