Hains: Jacked Up Price Tag?
Like every year at the draft, there were a lot of rumors going around about which team was interested in which player and one of the most persistent ones over the last few days has been about Montreal pursuing Jack Eichel. |

if he's healthy, go for it. Habs have 32 LD prospects, they won't all play in Mtl.

Agreed, remains to be seen if Buffalo wants LD prospects...hopefully they do |

as many as they want, except Guehle. add kk and a few picks |
|
|
|
The LD prospect pool is nice but Buffalo now has Dahlin and Power has their 1-2 LD. They’ll eventually need an RD (Mailloux?).
Else like I said earlier, it could looks like a:
Kotkaniemi
Player+Salary (Byron/Drouin/Lehkonen)
Offensive prospect (Farrell/Tuch/Poehling)
Maybe D prospect (Farris / Strubble)
Picks (1st+2nd) or 2x1st.
Going to be costly but Habs can do it. Eichel makes the Habs offensive so much better. |

Stay away, because of the price tag. Build around Suzuki and Caufield.
Reinhart would have been cheaper, but went elsewhere. |

As a Sabres fan, I'd say Suzuki, Caufield, a prospect and a first or walk away. Too close to home for Jack unless we get a haul..... |

that's where Giroux wouldn't be a bad idea. he'd be a buffer for 1 y, the time for kk to improve. wouldn't cost much to acquire.

You’ll never get that
The best you’ll have from the Habs is probably Kotkaniemi and prospects. No way Habs are touching Suzuki or Caufield. We are talking about a player that wants to leave with injuries.

Just so I'm not missing something from what you just blogged about...You want Jordan Harris to be the centerpiece of the Jack Eichel trade to your beloved Habs???? LOL. How is the crack up there in Montreal? because you must be consuming large quantities, but please save some for Jack, cuz he enjoys a fat rail from time to time. I dont like Eichel as a player, and even less as a human being, but if Suzuki and Caufield aren't included at the very least, this proposed deal is a non starter. You are a clown - Cory1
Name calling is always a good way to address someone, bravo on that. In case you didn’t get it from the article i have serious reservations about going for Eichel. I didn’t say Harris should be a centre piece mainly a piece of the package. |

When asking if Suzuki and Caufield are part of the Eichel discussions, I received a reply stating “I assure you they are not. Literally everyone else is fair game, though”. #GoHabsGo

Yes, Habs have talked/are talking to BUF regarding Eichel. No, Suzuki is not part of the discussions. Montreal see him as an integral part of the future, even a possible captain candidate |
|
|
|
You’re not giving away your two best players from playoff. You’re building around.
Of course Suzuki/Caufield aren’t part of the talk. Only other teams think so.
Seth Jones didn’t go for Debrincat
Ellis didn’t go for Couturier.
Etc
Etc
Etc
I wouldn’t even be surprise if none of the youngsters from Habs weren’t part of it, Kotkaniemi included. We will see, if it lands Eichel. |

Too much risk, not only for what you are giving up, but health status.
Hard pass.
