NJ wants to acquire Koskinen to upgrade their goaltending? He's a UFA in a couple of months. They can sign him for free. The only reason to add him now is to give the Oilers cap relief. Holtby is also a UFA.

And what is this stuff about Stone? They have to make moves to enable him to return...doesn't he also have to be healthy too? Or did you fall for this nonsense about Stone faking it to help the cap? Oh my.

Ek calls it bold , I call it a WTF moment

So you say the Devils are looking to improve their goaltending? And then you mention Smith, Koskinen, Halak, Khudobin and Holtby as possibilities. I don’t think any of those options are truly an upgrade, maybe a slight improvement but nothing to get excited about. I’d rather suffer through the rest of the season and address goaltending in the off season. These guys are NOT the answer to NJ’s goaltending issues IMO.

That's what the Oiler players have been texting the Hawks about. Ek said the Oiler players are lobbying the Hawks players pretty hard to convince MAF to come. Caleb Jones and Juhjar Khaira are ex-Oilers so probably most of the texts are going to them...Hey Juhjar. It's Connor. Tell MAF that I like him and that the Oilers are cool. EK - whatever you're smokin' you better back off of it. Jarmo is not going to chase 30 y.o Brendan Gallagher with that term. Those $$s can be better spent using the cap space short term for picks.
