I do think this happens when idk. But trade return is the question most likely hawks retain half of Kate's contract and go from there.

Othmann and a pick for Kane/50% retained, and then a pick to a second team (along with a Reeves) for cap purposes (although I'm not sure if that will be necessary with NYR's LTIR space).
