I feel like we just added Mogilny. A youngish team that’s good, adding a proven goal scorer with size. Obviously Mogilny is in a tier above Meier, and several years older, but still in his prime. Super exciting to add a guy that can create his own shot and actually score with it, be a big body without being slow, be offensively strong without being a defensively weak. .. and he can be a mainstay with this roster for years to come.. hopefully with Bratt.

And then it’s good luck with the cap. 4 players around 8 per, plus Hamilton.. and eventually will have to pay Mercer, Luke, Nemec, Vanecek etc.. and actually fill out the roster with 14 more players lol.

Will be interesting to see because I could just see just some moves to make the contract amounts work and the extra team thrown in to eat a portion of the salary cap with another pick. Could be just a mid level prospect in as well.

Bummer, I thought so. I wonder who else is going with him. Wonder if Holtz is going. I considered Zetterlund one of our better depth forwards with upside. Hughes, Hischier, Bratt, then I guess Tatar, Mercer, Haula, Sharangovich, Zetterlund, Bastian, Boqvist, McLeod, Wood.
If it’s not Mercer it’s a win.

He definitely isn't worse than Wood has been this year. He isn't a great player but he is good enough to play in the NHL.

If this trade turns out to be Meier, whatever that guy's name is for Zetterlund, Okhotiuk, Johnsson, and a 1st you'd have to think that Grier waited way too long on this because that return is medium at best.
