I've noticed this quite a bit this season. The Wings seem very soft. Where's the leadership on this team? I don't blame Larkin 100%. However, I do fault him somewhat when they stop playing throughout the game.

Truly though, where's the coach firing the team up? Since when is it acceptable to quit because of a poorly timed goal? I'll admit to being a little deflated when that 2nd goal was scored. But that's not time to give up.

Unfortunately, that seems to be this team's MO this season. Last season, they fought back a lot. But there were some significant departures this season when it comes to talent, and apparently leadership.

Fabbri, Walman, and Gostisbhere are all dearly missed. Let's not forget David Perron either. It's time to break up this band and pray some more leaders are acquired, as well as a shake up behind the bench. Although, that probably won't happen until the off-season.

Sure "break up the band", but the only ones that will get you something useful in return are the "untouchables" of Larkin, Raymond, Seider and Eddy! Trading any and most of the rest will not result in something or someone immediately useful! Obviously, the re-build has been lengthened by several years with the moves that were made this summer!!!

WELCOME BACK is right! Glad the site is back up and running. The DRW were AWFUL last night!! If there would be a chance to unload some weight, my suggestions would be #'s 11 & 56 & 46 - NOW or sooner. Then replace the coach. He's a nice guy and has a pretty good resume but I'm not seeing the leadership or fire that this team needs. Maybe, just maybe some of this season can be somewhat saved with moves but who in this league would want the 3 mentioned earlier. Really too bad since so many of us were looking forward to a return to the PO's.

The remarkable change in overall mentality of this team is sad. There seems a sense of defeat. It felt like Lalonde was admitting to that in the post-game, as was Larkin.

Again, this season was about improving. Whilse some regression was inevitable based on a cap crunch, I'd hoped to see some improved cohesiveness. As I look at this team, Eddy'd taken his place as has Kasper. Johansson will take some time but he's got some talent. Would like to see Wally get some ice time.....Cossa tracked the puck very well, I think Augustine might be better than Cossa. Mazur's showing to be a Marchand-like player. Soderblom needs to step up his game. I'm not a GRG expert nor do I watch them much at all. But every single thing I've seen on the ice from "the kids" looks promising. Even better is what I read and hear.

Listen, gang: This year's a wash, we all know it. So, for me, it now becomes a matter of how does it look on the back end? For now; the common impression is things look good.....really good.

Wishing you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
