Steve Palumbo: Dallas Eakins expected to be named Anaheim Ducks next head coach

Yeah let's see what he can do here. Especially when considering he's coached quite a few of the guys on current roster and the influx of kids that should be on the roster next year.

Steel / Jones / Kase / Ritchie / Gibson / Comtois / just to name a few.

Really interested in seeing who the assistants will be ... Because the PK and PP need to be much better.

Byproduct of being cheap. Penny pinching on coaches isn’t good managing.

I could go on and on... and on about how bad a coach he was in Edmonton. The worst coach literally I've ever even heard of. But...

He inherited a bad situation in Edmonton. I'm honestly not sure if he was actually told to win at the time. The Oilers had tons of skill up front but massive holes in the line up that I think they intended to fill via the draft. Aka continue the tank.

Eakins hopefully learned a lot of what not to do during his time in the nhl. Also hopefully spent some time researching nhl systems. Something he clearly had troubles with. If you hear him implement a system called "the swarm" just stop watching, it will save you tons of pain.

Eakins is a great ahl coach and I honestly hope he is better for you than he was for us.

I am REALLY not sold on this hiring but time will tell.

But Eakins has proven less successful than Carlyle, Wilson, even Melrose. He sucks. Full blown tank I guess. He’s the new Ronnie Rolston.

Trade Josh Manson to Chicago, they have some intriguing young pieces to offer back, plus they sure could use some of those Manson “genes” On that blue line, just like daddy back in the day.
Anybody know if Bob Murray has Even had talks with Chicago, and is Josh Manson even available?

The funny part Anaheims ex coaches and gm leave for bad teams too.. about 25 miles or so above the State of NY to be exact .
