I really liked hath. He was great on the pk, hard on the forecheck. He would piss other teams off but play a pretty darn good game for a " fourth liner". Great depth signing

He's about the best you can hope for from a fourth liner. Pretty silly that the Flames let him go if that's all he was looking for. Especially when they're just wasting the money anyway.

The flames with a serious snooze fest on July 1st but really that's what I expected good for them with Talbot I hope BSD gets similar to that and at 6mill or less for 2 goalies is good enough. As for matty, I believe they are doing the best they can to keep him under 8mill but with what is happening with aho not the same player for sure but its hard to take under 8 at that point good job habs!

Maybe no one wanted to come to Calgary, but I would have much rather seen Calgary sign any of the other goalie contracts that were signed yesterday and brought back Hathaway.

Paying Talbot that much is also absurd because it's not going to go over well with Rittich that he's getting paid less than his backup. There's no way the Flames can give him over 2 million because no one has any idea what he is yet. He could be the next Kiprusoff or he could be the next Hammond. Is he a solid 60+ game starter? Is he a capable 1A? 1B? A great backup? Who knows.

Rittich probably ends up in arbitration and gets something between 1.5 and 2.
