The deal is for the NHL league minimum $775,000 and for a yet undisclosed lesser amount at the AHL level.

Yet undisclosed?

Does this mean it’s public right now?

When do you think they will undisclose it?

Apparently he’d been fighting cancer for years. Very sad to hear. Pee-wee was around from when I was 8-12 so I watched him routinely.

Two consecutive blogs without revealing the identity of prospect #36.

The suspense is killing me!

Yup, I also loved the Big Adventure movie as well.

Truthfully I always liked when he’d show up in a movie or show in any role. It’s sad to hear he passed but at least he made it to 70 while fighting cancer.

He apologized to fans for not going public with fact he had cancer. Oh, and 70 is very young.

About 11 years shy of the average age in Canada I know but my point is at least he got through his 60s. My gf’s father passed due to cancer in his 60s a few years ago and between her and her brothers they simply wish he made it to his 70s now.

The other thing I can mention that sadly unless they’re able to get my seizures under control it reduces my life expectancy by a decade. So I technically sit with a 71.75 year life span.

Well cheers for being in decent health (I’m assuming anyways). I’m hoping that they will able to use the Vagus nerve stimulator on me since it has been doing fantastic and it’s an approach that was started in the late 90s but due to the digital growth over the last couple years it has amped its usage up very quickly. They’ve even reduced the license suspension from a year to 6 months recently. Problem for me is that my brain functions about 5 seconds too fast for the EEG to see exactly where the seizures of my 2nd and 3rd epilepsies start. So I’m currently waiting to have my head opened up again (it took a lobectomy to get my first epilepsy under control), should be within 2-3 weeks since I was told back in March “late June” and it typically takes about a 1-1/2 to 2 month window to get called in.

Anyways here’s hoping this idea of theirs works out cause it will likely allow me to have my meds reduced notably (currently at 3500mg a day), stop the seizures, and re-extend my potential life expectancy.

Thank you, I try to stay positive about it and I’ve signed off to let the neurologists use anything they learn off me for studying. They even paid me $150 one day to come in for 6 hours for that not a true full blown stay, my longest so far is 19 days). Told them they don’t have to pay me but they were honest and said it was cheaper to give me the $150 then it would be to hire a lawyer to draft a custom contract lol, I said fair enough I’ll take the cheque

My parents are 74 but my siblings and I have to sit down coming up in the next few weeks to talk about their plans going forward. They are both still in relatively good health and are living in their house but I guess we better set a plan in place just in case.

Hopefully it doesn’t come across insulting or anything.

Not at all. Plans are good. Just make sure you understand what your parents want.

Ya they have time. They own their house and they’re fine financially but my sister has a side lot that we’re talking about building on. Close to someone if they need it but still have their own place.

Don’t want to uproot them just yet if they’re not wanting it.

We had to move my girlfriend's parents out of their house last may because their health had become too troublesome (one physically, the other mentally) for them to stay there on their own.

Let's just say they weren't prepared at all and months later, we are still handling some stuff because they never "trimmed down" their stuff in the house.

So yeah, preparing is good, I had my parents start a similar process to make things easier when/if they need to move.

It’s tough. I love our place, especially the yard and privacy we have. We’re ok in terms of health (my mind is still as sharp as those sharp things you use to attach paper to a board) and financially. But we’ll probably have to think about moving in the next 4 or 5 years. Our kids will both moving out of the area in the next few years one to Ohio and the other to Vancouver. Our son who’s moving to Vancouver has already been talking about us moving west at some point. Ohio is an easy pass and of course Vancouver is even more expensive than here but….

Time for a nap.

Me and the gf go visit her parents in a retirement park near Sarnia. We (frank)ing love it there. We're already planning hanging out in a double-wide wearing velour tracksuits.

My. buddy and I joke about this.

We are going to get all our friends from high school to move into the same facility when we are 65.

It will be like living in university residence together.

All your meals cooked.

All your dishes done.

And we will just hang out together every day.
