As a team against the salary cap limit, the Vegas Golden Knights will not be big players today, at the start of Free agency, by George McPhee's own admission. Outside of their own free agents, don't expect too much from the club this summer. Below is the Vegas tracker, updated as the moves come in.

Golden Knights Free Agents:

William Karlsson

Signed: Karlsson signed with the Golden Knights prior to the opening of unrestricted free agency. Eight years, $5.9 million AAV.

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare

Signed: Colorado Avalanche; 2 years @ $1.8 million AAV
Bellemare was an integral part of the first two Golden Knights teams, wearing an A on his chest from the jump. His leadership will be missed moving forward. He is a great pick-up for the Colorado Avalanche, a team killing it in Free Agency this summer.

Ryan Carpenter

Signed: Chicago Blackhawks; 3 years @ $1 million AAV
Carpenter is a role player, who does his job adequately. He kills penalties and doesn't really chip in much on the offensive side of the game. He was a waivers acquisition from the San Jose Sharks.

Brandon Pirri

Signed: Golden Knights; Two years @ $775,000 AAV
Pirri is a solid winger who can put the puck in the net. When he came up to Vegas, from the AHL, he was legitimately their best player for his first nine games. He left the AHL as the front-runner for the MVP of the American League. For whatever reason, he was relegated to the bench during a cold streak, something not foreign to a shooter/sniper profile player. Bringing him back makes little sense for each side, unless he didn't get any good offers and/or the Golden Knights plan to let him play next season.

Deryk Engelland

Tomas Nosek

Signed: Golden Knights; 1 year @ $1 million AAV
Nosek is another depth forward who was thought to have some upside and ready to make a jump up the lineup out of training camp, this past season. He failed to fulfill those high hopes, but he plays a solid role in the bottom-six and on the PK.

Malcolm Subban

Max Lagace

Signed: Boston Bruins; 1 year @ $700,000 AAV (two-way)
Lagace was the man between the pipes in Chicago of the AHL and he even made a few appearances in Vegas during IR stints for Marc-Andre Fleury and Subban. He is replaceable and wasn't a priority for the Golden Knights.
