A source tells me the Leafs and NJ are in deep stages of talks right now...Montreal also with interest. Always fun when the NHL Superpowers are fighting for the same guy.
On Drouin...
Colorado and the Islanders were in on Hall until the end, but I am told one of the reasons the Canadiens felt OK letting Hall go is they see Jonathan Drouin as a better long-range solution...Drouin is injured currently, but again, this is a long game being played by Colorado...Arizona is playing more for now...
On JG Pageau...
Calgary, Columbus and the NY Islanders are the teams to watch still. The Isles may get more aggressive after losing out to Hall.
