lyers fell to the Boston Bruins,6-2, at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday afternoon. A four-goal deluge by Boston in the first period dug too deep of a hole for Philadelphia.

The Flyers navigated the first 14 minutes of the game just fine, but then the wheels rapidly fell off in a disastrous span of less than four-and-a-half minutes. The game went from scoreless to a 4-0 Boston lead before the Flyers even knew what hit them.

Tyson Foerster scored twice in a losing cause for the Flyers after Boston led 5-0. David Pastrnak notched two goals and an assist for Boston. The Bruins also received tallies from Charlie McAvoy (1g. 1a), James van Riemsdyk (1g. 1a), Danton Heinen and Charlie Coyle.

Samuel Ersson didn't have much of a chance to make saves in his 20 minutes of play (four goals on 14 shots). Cal Petersen stopped 12 of 14 shots. Winning goalie Linus Ullmark made 35 saves on 37 shots.

The Flyers went 0-for-3 on the power play. They were 3-for-3 on the penalty kill including a 26-second two-man disadvantage.
