UPDATED AT 7:26 PM. It has been confirmed to me that TSN posted this trade at 2:13. I posted that a trade occured between the two teams at 2:14 as you can see if you look at the archives....Damn you TSN...you win this round!!!!

A GREAT move by the Sens. These two players are exactly what this team needed. Eaves is a great young player, but the window for the Senators is now and this solidifies them on the player front and the character front. Both of these players were huge in the Cup run and will be enormous additions.

It is safe to say that Montreal, Philly, Pittsburgh and the rest will have to react to this move.

Hats off to Murray for making this deal.

Below is a re-post from earlier today of my RUMOUR CHART "top 80 most likely to be traded" players, which is now 78 after removing #50 Commodore and #37 Stillman.

+++++++++++++++

This Week Things Will Get Really Interesting.

WHO DO YOU WANT?

"Why are players included on this list, you ask?"

Well they are either included because they are pending UFAs or I have heard something that prompted me to put them on the Chart. This is NOT a list of how I rank these players in value or talent. It is a computer generated ranking based a formula I came up with that takes several factors into account including: UFA Status, Salary Hit, Team's Chances of Making the Playoffs, Player Performance, Experience, etc.

Due to the fact that the playoff picture is constantly changing, the closer we get to the deadline the less the cap hit matters, players get hot and cold, and other factors. These rankings change every day based on the computer's calculations.

This Chart is a way to give you more inside info without revealing sources. I take guys off and add guys every day. Most of the players on the chart I list possible teams that are interested and the percentages based on my educated guesses from my many conversations.

These percentages are available as a way of saying thank you for those who support the site and pitch in their twenty bucks by becoming a Season Ticket to Hockeybuzz.com. With increasing traffic your support is VERY appreciated.

QUICK NOTE: No, I do NOT think these 80 players are going to be traded. lol.

THE RUMOUR CHART 80

#1 Rob Blake

Says he wants to stay in the West, and apparently that may not include Detroit.
Teams: San Jose, Colorado, Minnesota, Dallas

#2 Dan Boyle

The Lightning had hopes of re-signing him last week. It'll be interesting to see how the uncertainty of the sale plays into this. He is a great pickup and a solid transition guy.
Teams: Buffalo, San Jose, Pitsburgh, Philly, Boston.

#3 Mats Sundin

Rumours are swirling that he decided to remove his NTC this weekend, however many still feel that he has a very short list. I am hearing that he could be packaged in a deal that could bring Ohlund or Kessler to Toronto. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS JUST PART OF THE DEAL
Teams: Vancouver, Calgary, Detroit, Anaheim

#4 Ladislav Nagy

Could be a sniper or big power play addition
Teams: Pittsburgh, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago

#5 Mark Recchi

There is interest, but it appears that as long as Atlanta is in it they aren't moving Rex. In fact they could extend him.
Teams interested: Ottawa and Montreal

#6 Brad Stuart

Still has lots of talent, an affordable puck moving guy with tons in the tank
Teams: Detroit, San Jose, New Jersey, Colorado

#7 Jason Williams

A very young UFA to be who was a point a game guy prior to injury. Hawks haven't made a serious attempt to re-sign him that I have heard of and he is largely being ignored by much of the media. His health is a concern, but is improving.
Teams: Toronto (if they can extend him), New Jersey, Buffalo

#8 Vaclav Prospal

He has shown the ability to play very well with talented guys and give some serious depth to the power play.
Teams: Ottawa, San Jose, Calgary, Minnesota, Chicago, NJ

#9 Olli Jokinen

Probably has more value now than this summer to the right team, however this summer more teams could make a pitch. Very interesting to watch
Teams: Calgary, Montreal, Buffalo, Dallas, Pittsburgh

#10 Marian Hossa

The price is very high and the chances of extending aren't that great as common belief is that he wants to test the UFA market this August. Atlanta may be better off using him to make a playoff run. You know that if he isn't moved he will play like crazy for that next contract.
Teams: Montreal, Anaheim, Detroit, ottawa

#11 Brian Campbell

Still could be re-signed, extremely valuable if not. There must be some pressure being put on him to sign a big deal by the NHLPA. He wants to give a discount and be a Sabre.
Teams: Chicago, Dallas, San Jose, St. Louis.

#12 Martin Gelinas

Depends what a team needs, but Nashville is in a playoff spot as of now.
Teams Interested: Anaheim, Boston, NJ. Ottawa, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh

#13 Bobby Holik

Like Recchi, won't likely be moved as the Thrashers are really focused on making the show.
Teams Interested: Detroit, Vancouver, Colorado

#14 Jaroslav Modry

Another great option as a second tier guy.
Teams: Montreal, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Dallas.

#15 Brian Willsie

A good role player that could help out quite a bit. Has some back issues, but could add toughness to a team like Ottawa.
Teams: Ottawa, Pittsburgh, NJ, Washington

YOUR DAILY FOPPA

Well it looks like we are still another week away. I do firmly believe that if Forsberg returns he will be a Flyer, however that is a pretty big "IF" and were I to guess he would not return which will prompt Holmgren to make another move. The Flyers first priority is actually a puck moving D-man.

COMING UP TODAY...

This afternoon I will be updating with anything new that comes in...I am working on at least three interesting rumours...I will also be answering your "What the Ek?" questions, hanging out in the HockeyBuzz Chat Room, and doing the Talkcast at 4 pm.

So stay tuned..........
