People often ask me how I gotten to be so close with some of the present and past sabres. I tell them that I attend Sabres development camp. The sessions are very beneficial for me because I watch their skating and observe their endurance, skill set, and toughness factors. After the sessions, the guys are very forthcoming and they love to talk about their career goals and aspirations, as well as talk about the careers in juniors and NCAA hockey.
I strongly recommend that you check out one, if not all of the sessions.

Back to the subject at hand:
Finding a veteran centre man.
If you follow me on Twitter (@SabresBuzz), many of you saw my tweets on Monday night regarding several centres that the Sabres are, presently, and/or should be inquiring about.
The Sabres have a surplus of NHL Dmen with Tyler Myers, Christian Ehrhoff, Reggie Sekera, Robyn Regehr, Jordan Leopold, Alex Sulzer, Mike Weber, Brayden McNabb, Adam Pardy and TJ Brennan.
The Avs, Oilers, and Islanders are all in desperate need of experienced blue liners.
Centres of attention for Buffalo:
Paul Stastny for the Avalanche.
Stastny has two years left at $6.6 million cap hit.
The Avs have re-signed their top Dman, Erik Johnson. to a four year extension. They are said to be looking for another puck mover who can get the puck to O'Reilly, Landeskog, Duchene win mid-stride. Reggie Sekera can fit nicely in Denver.
Shawn Horcoff from Edmonton.
Horcoff is a $5.5 milllion cap hit for the next three seasons.
Sekera and Leopold will throw darts at the twigs of Hall, Eberle, RNH, and Yakupov.
Josh Bailey and Frans Nielsen from the Islanders.
Bailey is in the final year of his deal, and will earn $1,050,000 this season. Nielsen is a $2.75 million cap hit for the next 4 seasons.
Sekera and Leopold can deliver the rock to Tavares, Moulson and company better than any D on Islanders' present roster.
Keep dreaming if you think John Tavares is available. Garth Snow would ask for the sun, moon, and stars in exchange for JT.

The Roy for Ott deal is being met by overwhelming support. Ott will act as a human belt sander and will annihilate all punks that dare get in his way. Dallas gets smaller by adding Roy and Whitney.
Advantage: Sabres.
