I have actually heard the Oilers and Flyers both with interest. Getzlaf does have family ties to the Philly area, but of course this contractually would require serious creativity. Could Gostisbehere and some salary retention on the Ducks part be a starting point?

One player who NEVER comes up in trade rumors on this site is Ilya Kovalchuk...Here we go again...The Canadiens are expecting Drouin and Gallagher back this week and then we will see the Habs make a final push...Where that leads will determine if Kovalchuk stays or moves on...Pittsburgh has interest...as do the Caps...

They are talking to everyone and I keep hearing they are looking for a D with some term on his deal...which actually makes sense and would give Dubas one less free agent to deal with this summer...It also could mean that Kapanen would HAVE to be involved...The Hurricanes may possess the right player and have a long relationship with Kapanens...
