Kyle Dubas was in Philly last night, after meeting with Nylander's agent in NY, and of course that gets the rumors buzzing like crazy... but last night it appeared to be all about Travis Sanheim.

And with good reason....the left shooting defenseman from Manitoba has been very steady so far for the Flyers, and as a result has seen his minutes increasing...He doesn't have a goal and only has put up 5 assists thus far, but he is a +1 on a team that has been giving up plenty of goals and he is almost always in the perfect position, while showing great hockey sense and a solid first pass out of the zone. He is also one of the better Flyers D-men on the point at keeping the puck in the offensive zone.

He has always been groomed to be a top 2 pairing guy, but he is most definitely not going to see that potential on a Philly D showcasing Gostisbehere and Provorov...

And that fact has shown in his minutes...In 3 of the first 4 games this season he was playing under 14 minutes, but not last night.

With Kyle Dubas in the building, Sanheim got the most ice time he has seen to date...playing just over 20 minutes.

And with the confidence being shown in him, you saw a much more confident Travis...making a lot of nifty plays and jumping into the offense at more opportunities.

So what could Toronto and Philly be discussing? According to my sources it would NOT be Nylander...but possibly could be Kasperi Kapanen, who grew up in the Philly area while his dad played here.

Stay tuned for sure...
