Talking to a good source today in Seattle and it appears that Dave Tippett may be narrowing in on his pick to be the first GM of the Seattle Kraken. My source, along with a second source at the NHL tells me it will be one of Ken Holland, Ron Hextall, or Kelly McCrimmon. Another source tells me McCrimmon is the leading candidate for the Oilers job, but the Knights are not allowing Kelly to talk to anyone until the completion of his season...the same is likely true for Holland as well...but Hextall is free to discuss the job with the Kraken.
Meanwhile, it almost feels like a sure thing I am told that Steve Yzerman will be joining the Red Wings staff in some capacity in the Fall. "It's happening," a source said, "It's not a well kept secret at all..." Not certain this means Holland won't still be involved in Detroit should he NOT get the job in Seattle...

Oh and by the way...yeah the Seattle Kraken is NOT the official name of the franchise yet...but can we all just agree it should be?
