Recent NHL news has revealed that - predictably and correctly - Jack Eichel is not having fun in Buffallo.
Now, I doubt that the Sabres would trade him, but the Coyotes should still try to make it happen.
Would they take Barrett Hayton, OEL, and two firsts?
If not, what more would they ask for?
The secret to NHL success is having a player like Jack Eichel. He'd instantly be the best player in franchise history.
If any other franchise has Eichel, I'd say "there is no way they trade him," but this is Buffalo we are talking about.....so its possible.
Anyways, it's not likely to happen, but it'd be fun!
Now on to the good part.
Today we are at #19 in our best Coyotes of all-time countdown.
I left off last time with Ed "the Predator" Jovanovki.
Coyotes Countdown
I name D Jacob Chychrun the 19th best player in all of Coyotes history.
A look into the stats (courtesy of Quanthockey) shows that, somehow, Chychrun is 43rd in franchise scoring history with 80 points.
I don't even know how that is possible, but I double checked and its true. Chychrun has played four seasons for the Coyotes but he has never even played 70 games due to multiple injuries.
Still, despite his injuries he is on the verge of becoming an elite player, and may now be the Coyotes best defenseman.
He's here mostly for his potential, but that potential is high.

The 2010 masterpiece MacGruber stars Will Forte, Kristen Wigg and many great cameos.
It is the funniest movie ever made, the best comedy in history, and the 19th best film of all time.
The great thing about MacGruber is that ever second of its run time is stuffed with jokes, making it endlessly re-watchable.
Yeah, most of the jokes are immature and stupid, but that's the point.
Directed by Jorme Taccone, who also directed the 2nd best comedy movie of all-time (Pop Star: Never Stop Stopping) MacGruber is a subversive masterpiece that remains one of the single most underrated pieces of art ever created in human history.
The scene where MaGruber blows up his hand picked team. The scene where MacGruber makes Kristen Wigg dress like him and go into danger. The part where MacGruber makes love to his deceased wife?
These are among the best and most touching scenes ever filmed.
By far the best SNL skit to ever get turned into a movie, this cult classic should be required watching for all humans. It's the perfect comedy movie, and a gem even among more serious fare.
This is like punk rock comedy - its so over the top, so outside of what a normal studio considers a "comedy movie" it's insane it was ever even made.
Its a classic on par with the best movies ever made, and I pray to the ghost of Orson Wells every day for a sequel.
What makes this movie so great is that Will Forte's acting is so far beyond what you normally get in a comedy, and the writers are actual comedians, not just making broad jokes for a large audience.
This is THE movie for people who like comedy and not just laughing.
Nearly all comedy movies suffer from what I'd call "Paul Rudding" which is where they are written to broadly appeal to the widest possible audience, where as MacGruber was written explicitly for stoned wanna-be comedians.
Subversive. Genuinely loved by the people making it. Perfectly acted. Hilarious, and smart. it's the best comedy movie ever made.
MacGruber gets my highest ever rating: 7 Almeidas.
