The Panthers close out their strange 2022-23 regular season tonight when they take on the powerful Carolina Hurricanes.

The Cats will not get a “cooler” game prior to heading into the playoffs. In fact, tonight will be the opposite of a cooler game, as we all expect it to be a playoff pace and atmosphere when these two teams meet.

Maurice on tonight's regular-season finale: "The challenge is that so much of the emotion that you’ve been riding and the pressure that was in your room is out. You’ve got to find a way to manufacture that. All that energy will certainly come back for Game 1."

Let’s hope they can manufacture the nerves and emotion needed come playoff time…

It looks like Florida is trying to add depth to the blue line with grind (and potential injuries caused by it) of the postseason.

Not sure if he’ll actually see time, as it seems like a tough ask for a guy to step directly into the playoffs without any NHL experience, but it should be interesting to see if he winds up getting any time.
